Looking for fun indoor things to do in Seoul? We recommend checking out Afternoon Tea at Park Hyatt Seoul!
Afternoon Tea in Seoul
The Park Hyatt Seoul offers promotional events like brunch, happy hour, and high tea packages and they’re open even for those who aren’t even staying as a guest.
This package is offered at The Lounge on the 24th floor, so you get a beautiful view overlooking Gangnam, Seoul. The interior atmosphere was calm and elegant, with lots of natural sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows.
We ordered the seasonal Botanic Garden Afternoon Tea Set which offered champagne for two, afternoon tea sweets, gluten-free and vegan foods, and Korean shaved ice!
Korean Shaved Ice
‘Bingsu’ or shaved ice is a popular summer dessert in Korea. The Afternoon Tea set came with a green tea bingsu topped with seasonal apple mango. Every year, Korea has a trending bingsu flavor and this year is actually honeycomb bingsu! So, we also ordered the honeycomb bingsu as an additional side dessert to try.
The whole set up was very ‘Instagrammable’. The green tea bingsu was served on a tray where a waitress poured dry ice into the tray for a cool special effect. And the honeycomb bingsu came with real gold!
What’s In Our Bag?
The sun was shining intensely the day we went for afternoon tea (which made for excellent photos). That’s why we made sure to pack our facial mists and sunscreens!
Koreans always blast the air conditioners indoors in the summertime which dries out the skin. So we brought our three favorite facial mists to hydrate and refresh our skin.
And reapplication of sunscreen was a must while sitting high up next to high-rise windows and before stepping out into the intense sunlight afterward. We brought the Hyggee Vegan Sun Cream and Real Sun Cream—two verified SPFs for ensured coverage!
Afternoon Tea at Park Hyatt Seoul: Worth it?
Not only was the bingsu perfect for summer, but the vegan treats were also surprisingly and especially tasty! Altogether, we left feeling very satisfied and full and we enjoyed the elegant atmosphere. The Afternoon Tea at Park Hyatt Seoul is a great experience for afternoon tea lovers, those looking for new things to do in Seoul, or if you’re planning a nice treat for two.
