What is it?
The star of this summer’s SPF-show for me is spelled “Hyggee Vegan Sun Cream.” We already loved its first impressions in a blog post from earlier this year, and now I’m back with a full review of it! Coming in a plain and minimalistic tube, this sunscreen might not look super exciting at first—but wow does it pack a punch.
Aside from soothing, antioxidant-rich Beet Root, this sunscreen is formulated with 5 different chemical filters and skin-barrier strengthening Marine Algae extract. More importantly – this sunscreen promises zero white cast AND no sensitization. Does it hold its generous promises? I think so – and I’ll let you know why!
Texture & Application
The first impression of this sunscreen is that it both looks and feels like condensed milk without any tackiness—and not like a typical thick, white-ish sunscreen. Applied to the skin (remember, two fingers worth of sunscreen for your entire face!), it’s soft and easily spreadable. Most importantly, IT DOESN’T PILL! If you’ve struggled with pilling sunscreens you know how annoying this can be. The Hyggee Vegan Sun Cream spared me of those issues.

After applying the sunscreen to my face and starting to rub it in, I instantly noticed how quickly the sunscreen blends with my skin. I love the finish and there are no traces of sunscreen on my skin – just a healthy glow!
I’ve used this sunscreen every day this summer—at home, on the beach, and when hiking. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tacky, it doesn’t sensitize my skin, and most importantly, it protects my face from getting burnt! All without making me look ghastly or making my skin feel clogged.
