Celimax The Real Noni Refresh Clay Mask Review
NONI… CLAY MASK?
Yes, you heard it – this is a clay mask featuring one of Celimax’ signature ingredients: Noni fruit! This is how Celimax describes the mask:
This clay mask is formulated with Kaolin and Bentonite clay which are effective at removing excess sebum, dead skin cells, and impurities from clogged pores. It also works to protect the moisture barrier with its powerful absorbency making the skin clear and moisturized after use.
Finely powdered dried Noni Fruit provides mild physical exfoliation while Noni Fruit Extract (30%) adds nutrients and moisture to the clay, resulting in a soft texture that is easy to wash off.

SKIN BENEFITS OF NONI
Don’t really know much about Noni fruit? You’re not the only one! I had never tried Noni in any form or shape before I got my hands on Celimax products but it has quickly become a favorite of mine. Noni fruit is also one of those ingredients that have become popular in K-beauty this year that I think will take a spot on this lists 2021 version. Why? Noni fruit contains (among other things):
- Antioxidants – help protect against free radicals (that age your skin) and minimize the appearance of fine lines.
- Vitamin A – promotes healthy skin cell production, helps strengthen the skin barrier and helps treat acne.
- Vitamin C – evens out skin tone, helps fade scars and protects against free radicals.
In other words – a pretty good cocktail of age-defying, brightening ingredients! Mix this with Kaolin and Bentonite Clay and you have this unconventional clay mask!
AN UNCONVENTIONAL CLAY MASK
The reason why I call this mask “unconventional” is both because of its formulation but also because of its packaging! Most clay masks come in a jar, which in my opinion can feel a bit unhygienic at times. The Real Noni Refresh Clay Mask on the other hand, comes in a tube!
This leads me to the formulation of this mask – as I don’t think it would be able to come packaged in a tube if it didn’t have the formulation it does. The Noni extract, as well as some other fruit extracts and almond kernel oil – make the mask much smoother than a conventional clay mask, and it feels a lot more moisturizing when applied to the skin. This makes this mask not dry down completely like clay masks usually do, but it stays a tiny bit wet on the skin until you wash it off – keeping your skin from drying out and getting sensitized. A plus for my oily, but sensitive skin!
FINAL THOUGHTS
I adore the Celimax The Real Noni Refresh Clay Mask! Everything from the hygienic packaging, the easy and smooth application and removal, and most importantly – this mask feels really good both on my skin and afterward. The clay in the mask effectively cleans out my pores and blackhead-ridden nose while the Noni Fruit Extract keeps my skin from getting too dry and at the same time gives it a healthy glow.
I’ve been using this mask two ways: both as a regular clay mask that I wash off after ten minutes but also as a cleanser, mixed in with my usual gel cleanser. When I do this, I take a pea-sized amount of the mask, mix it together with my cleanser and then wash my face. This way of using this mask is perfect for days when I don’t have time to do a mask, but I still feel that I want to do a deep cleanse for my skin.
All in all, this mask has become a weekly regular in my routine and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Affordable, effective, and gentle – that’s a bingo in my book.
